Review officer duties—have everyone write their own
- Evaluate events
Trangender vigil of Remembrance: Larger turnout than last year, chalk was effective, we liked the glowsticks. Suggestions for next year: have people sign in at the door. Maybe get assorted glowsticks, get more flyers and put them up earlier, and get more
posterboard
Coming Out Day: we have pictures up now on Facebook. Maybe use these pictures as a photo wall at upcoming events. As for the ally stories, we might publish them. For next coming out day, we should get a real door and get actual tables (confirm in
advance).
Ally week: discuss possibility of having sign-up sheets for allies at events to make sure they know that they’re welcome, encourage allies
New events
Day of Silence
Have a party. Type of party: dance party with drag queens, or a masquerade/costume party
We need pledge cards; we have some left over from last year
Sell T-shirts—either come up with our own design or use someone else’s
Send representatives to other diversity groups (SASA, LASA, SAWA, ASA etc)
Find out how to get the money we need: ask the Senate, the
Diversity Fund, and co-sponsorships
We also need to fundraise
Sell roses for Valentine’s day
Chocolate fountain (in order to do this, we need to look up food laws)
Office
We need to clean out the office
